Senior Accountant
Job description
  • Stay up-to-date with Greek tax regulations related to real estate transactions
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of tax returns and compliance with financial regulations
  • Collaborate with external accountants and lawyers to address any tax-related issues
  • Manage all aspects of accounting, including payables, receivables, and general ledger entries
  • Emphasis on bookkeeping by managing all ledger entries daily
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records for each project
  • Perform reconciliations of bank statements and financial accounts
  • Preparing the 3 financial statements in accordance with Greek GAAP with reconciliation to IFRS
  • Upload leases and invoices on the government's platforms in accordance with legal requirements
  • Ensure compliance with reporting standards and deadlines imposed by regulatory authorities
  • Generate financial reports detailing project expenses, revenue, and profitability
  • Managing the company budget and management accounts monthly
  • Provide regular financial updates to the management team
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Work closely with the general manager, sales manager, project manager, and external partners to gather necessary financial information
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting for new projects
  • Monitor bank transactions, reconcile accounts, and address any discrepancies
  • Coordinate with the General Manager to optimize cash flow and liquidity
     

Candidate profile
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting/ finance
  • Master's degree will be considered an asset
  • Proven experience in real estate accounting and finance
  • Familiarity with Greek tax regulations and reporting requirements
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Excellent command of the English language, both in written and oral communication
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
