Technical Manager/Delivery Manager (Data Science/AI)
Journeyman 8
Responsibilities :
Technical Leadership:
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for Data Science and AI projects, ensuring alignment with client objectives and business needs.
- Understand and evaluate the technical implications of project requirements, providing guidance and recommendations.
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in Data Science and AI technologies to advise on best practices and emerging trends.
Project Planning and Execution:
- Develop detailed project plans, including resource allocation, timelines, and risk management strategies.
- Critically assess project timelines and challenge durations when necessary to ensure realistic and achievable delivery schedules.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions to keep projects on track.
Stakeholder Management:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, engineers, business analysts, and client stakeholders, to ensure project success.
- Facilitate clear communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating complex technical concepts into actionable business terms.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead and mentor technical teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
- Provide performance feedback, identify skill gaps, and support team members in their professional growth.
Quality Assurance:
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions that meet or exceed client expectations.
- Implement and oversee quality assurance processes, including code reviews, testing strategies, and compliance with industry standards.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, or a related field.
- Proven hands-on experience in Data Science and AI, with a strong technical background in:
- Machine Learning and Deep Learning algorithms
- Data analysis, processing, and visualization tools
- Frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn
- Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Big Data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.
- Demonstrated experience in managing and delivering Data Science/AI projects.
- Strong project management skills with proficiency in tools such as Jira, MS Project, or similar.
- Exceptional problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in the banking or financial services sector is a strong advantage.
- Languages: Greek, Proficiency in English
