Adecco is currently seeking, on behalf of its client, The Embassy of Switzerland in Greece, for a dynamic professional to support the Swiss Contribution Office for the implementation of the migration framework credit in Greece and Cyprus with the following position:

National Programme Officer

Job Description

• Gather information in the migration domain to ascertain the relevance of proposed support measures and projects in the area of migration governance and migration management
• Assist the Swiss Contribution Office in appraising project and support measure proposals for the Swiss-Greek and Swiss-Cypriot Cooperation Programmes and the monitoring of their implementation 
• Ascertain the application of the monitoring and control system for the Swiss-Greek and Swiss-Cypriot Cooperation Programmes.
• Monitor and control the implementation of the approved projects and support measures
• Review and contribute to interim reports, annual reports and completion reports of the main Greek and Cypriot partners
• Contribute to the methodology and the organization of program reviews and evaluations
• Support the Swiss Embassy particularly in the migration field in the analysis of the political, economic and social dynamics as well as emerging risks
• Develop terms of reference and prepare support missions for international and national experts and representatives from Switzerland
• Liaise with the relevant authorities and other partners in order to promote updated communication on the Cooperation Programmes through official communication channels
• Provide regular updates on the Cooperation Programmes for social media channels and the website of the Swiss Contribution
• Prepare presentations and speeches

Candidate Profile

• Three (3) years of experience in programme/project management
• University degree or equivalent qualification preferably in Political Sciences, International Relations, Public Management and Policy, Law and/or Migration Studies 
• Master’s degree in Migration Studies, will be considered as an asset
• Fluency in Greek and English, (with excellent editing skills in English)
• Fluency in German, French or Italian, will be considered as an asset
• PC literate, proficient in using MS Office applications
• Substantive experience in at least two of the following fields: managing migration, migration governance, human rights, public sector, social systems and civic engagement
• Experience with civil society engagement and capacity building is a plus
• Good knowledge of public tendering procedures and contract management will be considered an asset
• Ability to travel within or outside Greece and Cyprus, when needed
• Result and solution-oriented, prone to teamwork, to have strong representation skills.
• Ability to easily adapt to the corporate culture and to have the ability to represent.
• Enthusiastic, friendly and self-motivated professional eager to learn, and develop 
• Professionalism, with ability to work within a growing team
