Accountant
J0B DESCRIPTION
• Process routine accounting transactions including verifying calculations, check or allocate codes, check or obtain information for incorrect or incomplete documents.
• Prepare and processes purchase orders, invoices, cheque requests, payments, accounting, and bank reports.
• Ensure the accurate and timely preparation of bank/cash vouchers by processing payments and invoices within closely defined procedures.
• Interact with external auditors & tax agents in completing audits and tax returns.
• Prepare the basic documentation required for local tax compliance.
• Receive and process all invoices, expense forms and requests for payment and verify calculations and input codes into the Accounts system.
• Participate in preparation of tax declarations monthly (VAT, withholding taxes etc.).
• Maintain and update records of fiscal transactions.
• Enter data into spreadsheet and/or database and maintain records.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
• 2-3 years of relevant experience (preferably in a multinational environment)
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• Proficient user of the English language
• IT literate
• Good knowledge of accounting PC software packages (ERP System)
• Good knowledge of Hellenic Chart of Accounts and Hellenic Code of Books and Records
