Adecco is currently seeking on behalf of its client, a global specialty chemical distributor based in Maroussi,Athens, Greece, a dynamic professional to cover the following position:
Business Development Manager/ Chemical Engineer for Performance Products
Job Description
You will report directly to the General Manager. As such you will drive the success of the Group’s activities in the Greek market, collaborate with Sales, Customer Service and Group Development colleagues from entire Group.
Key focus is expansion of our sales footprint, in conjunction with Product/Stock management.
Success is defined by meeting and exceeding targets, satisfying customer needs and enhancing current product/supplier portfolio.
You will be responsible for: 
•establishing and maintaining long-term relationships with suppliers and customers 
•driving Turnover, Volume and Margin development to assigned accounts/suppliers, meeting and exceeding Sales/Profit targets
•effectively managing assigned supplier, product and customer portfolio 
•on-time reporting both internally to the Group and suppliers about current business figures, evolution of new projects and forecast/budget
•identifying existing product portfolio gaps and acquiring new suppliers to cover these gaps (in collaboration with Group Development) 
•supporting Marketing activities (promotion, market research, competition analysis) 
•regularly following-up turnover and margin figures according to budget and objectives 
•continuously developing technical expertise within the area of responsibility, with the aim to support new business enhancement 
•sourcing and exploring new product line / new suppliers opportunities
Your professional profile/qualifications 
•B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering/Chemistry or related fields 
•minimum 5 years of experience in sales of chemicals to the Greek Chemical Industry 
•full driver’s license 
•standard IT skills (Windows environment, MS Office, MS Teams, ERP, etc.) 
•fluent in Greek & English, any other language is welcome

•mindset to detect business opportunities and transform them to success stories
•high level of satisfying customers on the long-term basis and even under stress

•desire to travel on a regular long-term basis, both within the Greek territory for customer visits as well as abroad when needed (technical trainings to supplier factories, exhibitions & other events, etc.)
