Stock Allocator - Merchandiser
Job Description
•Planning product lines and preparing sales and inventory plans in collaboration with buyers
•Communication with buyers, analysts, stores, suppliers and distributors
•Maintain a comprehensive library of appropriate data
•Work closely with visual display staff and department heads to decide how merchandise should be displayed to maximize sales
•Create layout plans for stores, sometimes called 'statements'
•Profit and sales forecasting and optimization of sales volume and profitability of defined product areas
•Control of inventory levels based on forecasts for the season
•Analyzing every aspect of bestsellers (for example, best-selling price points, colors or styles) and ensuring they are reaching their full potential
•Maintaining awareness of competitor performance
•Monitor slow sellers and take steps to reduce prices or set promotions as needed
•Gather information on customer reactions to products
•Analysis of previous season's sales and reporting on current season's lines
•Making financial presentations to senior management
•Accompany buyers on visits to manufacturers to assess production processes
•Identify production and supply difficulties and deal with any problems or delays that arise
•Assist, set up and maintain automatic inventory replenishment according to demand planner
•Support all teams with ad hoc analysis and queries as required
Candidate Profile
•Bachelor  Degree Required
•Minimum of 3 years working experience with proven record in Merchandising, Sales Analysis and Forecasting  preferably in a apparel/ fashion  retail brand
•Superior knowledge of the English and Greek language, written and oral
•PC literate and strong analytical and numerical skills to work out budgets and understand sales figures
•The ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment and to quickly identify problems and recommend solutions
•Sound decision-making skills and the ability to plan and prioritize
•Excellent communication and negotiation skills
•The capability to work well as part of a team and to build and maintain effective working relationships with a range of people
•Strong commercial acumen and the ability to understand what will appeal to customers
•Genuine passion and interest in fashion
